St. Vincent de Paul Church is built.

April 30, 1872

Architect: Patrick Keeley. (April) Designed in the Classical style, it is located at 354 West Third Street. The church is built from the granite blocks of the former church on Purchase Street that were loaded on barges, and transported to South Boston. The stained glass windows are added in approximately 1903. The building is deconsecrated and plans call for it to be converted to residential use.
